These beaches all have similar characteristics and can be found by traveling more than 10 miles from Santa Cruz by boat. Cuatonalco and Boca Vieja can be accessed also by land. Each of these beaches face directly on the ocean and is about a mile in length with sloping fine white sand, and strong waves. Neither of these beaches is recommended for inexperienced swimmers.
