There are several great birding spots within 15 minutes of the hotel area, offering year-round birding. These include the National Park of Huatulco, about 14 miles NE of downtown La Crucecita.

Exotic flavors will be on your taste buds when you visit Hualtuco. Huatulco's cuisine is the cuisine of Oaxaca, and Oaxacan cooking is widely regarded as one of Mexico's top regional cuisines.

Since the people of Huatulco have made their living from the sea for generations, these same people do well to teach tourists about the fine art of fishing.
Huatulco Beaches
The 36 beaches of Huatulco are pristine, fine crème colored sand. That sand sitting beside clear blue water makes for a magnificent sight to behold.
Nightlife
Huatulco has many spots to enjoy a night out. It’s important to note that no one in Mexico starts his or her nocturnal pursuits until 10:00 P.M. or later; midnight is a more common starting time.

San Agustin Bay
The little extra effort it takes to get here is worth it, especially when your eyes are set on the stunning beauty of this out-of-the-way place. San Agustin is the farthest west bay.
Scuba Diving
Some of the world’s scuba diving enthusiasts have started to find out about the diving possibilities in Huatulco.
Shows
On weekend nights, you’ll be able to find a few entertainment options other than nightclub crawling. Ask the front desk at your hotel for details on what’s going on. One popular show is a Folkloric Dance show.
Surfing
Surfing or “acuaplano” in the native language, is a favorite pastime of locals and tourists. You will have to travel a bit to get to the biggest and best surfing conditions.
Huatulco National Park
This park covers 11,890 hectares (29,368 acres) and has some 9,000 lowland jungle plant species in its gallery forest and mangroves.
